About the IGHub IDEAS Project

The IGHub IDEAS Project is a pivotal initiative aimed at enhancing digital literacy and technical skills among youth, women, and persons with disabilities in Nigeria. Supported by the Federal Ministry of Education and funded by the World Bank, this project focuses on developing a holistic skills ecosystem that aligns with labor market needs.

Role Overview

As an Animation Trainer, you will be instrumental in delivering high-quality training programs that equip participants with cutting-edge animation skills. This role is ideal for someone with extensive experience in animation and a proven track record in creating impactful training content.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and Develop Training Materials: Create comprehensive training curriculum, tutorials, and hands-on exercises on various animation techniques and tools.
• Conduct Training Sessions: Lead engaging workshops and practical demonstrations using industry-standard software such as Adobe Animate, Adobe After Effects, and Blender.
• Assess and Monitor Progress: Evaluate trainees’ progress through assignments, quizzes, and projects, providing constructive feedback to enhance their skills.
• Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest trends and developments in the animation industry, integrating new techniques into training materials.
• Support and Guide Participants: Offer guidance and troubleshooting support to help participants overcome challenges and improve their animation skills.
• Evaluate Training Effectiveness: Review and assess the success of training programs based on participant feedback and learning outcomes.

Qualifications

• Educational Background: A degree in Animation, Graphic Design, Multimedia Arts, Fine Arts, or a related field.
• Professional Experience: At least 4 years of practical experience in animation, visual effects, or game design.
• Teaching Experience: Previous experience in teaching, mentoring, or conducting training programs is essential.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications in animation software (e.g., Adobe Animate, Blender, Autodesk Maya) are advantageous.
• Portfolio: A professional portfolio showcasing your animation work and projects is highly desirable.
