About the IGHub IDEAS Project

The IGHub IDEAS Project is a groundbreaking initiative aimed at boosting digital literacy and technical skills among youth, women, and persons with disabilities in Nigeria. Supported by the Federal Ministry of Education and funded by the World Bank, the project focuses on developing a robust skills ecosystem that meets the demands of the modern job market.

Role Overview

As the Product Management Trainer, you will be responsible for creating, delivering, and evaluating training programs that cover various aspects of product management. Your expertise will help participants gain practical skills and knowledge needed to excel in product management roles.

Key Responsibilities

• Design Training Programs: Develop comprehensive training materials, including curriculum, projects, and assessments focused on product management concepts such as product lifecycle, market research, and agile methodologies.
• Deliver Training: Conduct engaging training sessions, workshops, and practical simulations to teach product management principles and tools.
• Assess and Evaluate: Create and implement assessment tools to measure the effectiveness of training programs and track participant progress. Provide constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes.
• Customize Content: Tailor training programs to address specific participant needs, industry trends, and real-world scenarios.
• Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest trends and best practices in product management to ensure training content remains current and relevant.
• Collaborate: Work closely with program coordinators, instructional designers, and industry experts to align training with organizational objectives and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Proven experience as a Product Manager or in a related role, with a successful track record in managing product life cycles and leading cross-functional teams.
• Skills: Strong knowledge of product management frameworks, tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello), and agile methodologies.
• Training Experience: Prior experience in teaching, training, or mentoring, especially in a product management or business environment.
• Certifications: Certifications such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Certified Product Manager (CPM), or Pragmatic Product Management are advantageous.
