About the IGHub IDEAS Project

The IGHub IDEAS Project is a flagship initiative aimed at advancing digital literacy and technical skills among youth, women, and persons with disabilities across Nigeria. Supported by the Federal Ministry of Education and funded by the World Bank, the project is dedicated to creating a comprehensive skills development ecosystem that meets the needs of diverse communities.

Role Overview

As the Gender and Social Inclusion Advisor, you will play a crucial role in embedding social inclusion principles into the IGHub IDEAS Project. Your expertise will help ensure that our programs are inclusive, accessible, and impactful for all participants, particularly those from underrepresented and marginalized communities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and Implement Strategies: Design and execute strategies to engage and support underrepresented and marginalized communities.
• Ensure Inclusivity: Review and ensure that all program materials and resources are inclusive and accessible to participants from diverse backgrounds.
• Collaborate and Advise: Work closely with program teams to integrate social inclusion principles into every aspect of the project.
• Conduct Needs Assessments: Perform in-depth analyses and needs assessments to support program planning and development.
• Build Partnerships: Establish and maintain partnerships with organizations focused on serving diverse populations.
• Track and Report: Monitor and assess the impact of the program on social inclusion and diversity, preparing detailed reports and recommendations for improvements.

Qualifications

• Expertise: Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in social inclusion, diversity, and accessibility.
• Experience: Proven experience working with underrepresented or marginalized communities.
• Skills: Strong communication, interpersonal, and project management skills.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Social Science, Education, or a related field.
• Preferred: Experience in digital skills development programs, familiarity with international development frameworks, and knowledge of accessible technologies.
